Join us for a special workshop to create bespoke Whale Tail Rings in memory of Elena, who left this realm too soon. The whale tail ring has a special meaning: it not only encompasses Elena’s passion for whale conservation, but also showcases her incredible sense of beauty and style. She created a ring herself a few years back, and you will now be part of the legacy keeping the beauty and her light shining on.
You will spend a few hours under my guidance completing one ring for yourself and a second ring that goes into a pool for fundraising for whale conservation. In this class, you will be able to individualise your rings with patterns and finishing touches of your choice. If time permits, you can make up to 3 additional simple stacking rings to take home, again, according to your choice of pattern.
We will start the class at 9AM with body awareness and meditation in our onsite yoga studio, led by Laurence Cook, aligning with Elena’s deep commitment to wellbeing practices.
After this introduction I will guide you through the steps of designing and making your own sterling silver rings using techniques such as saw-piercing, soldering, hammering, forming, texturing, sanding and polishing.
All materials, tools and consumables are included in the cost.
This introductory class is designed for beginners with no previous experience. The class size is limited to a maximum of 5 people to ensure everyone gets one-on-one time and adequate assistance.
Tea/coffee and biscuits are provided, plus a freshly baked sourdough for a shared lunch.
